For when they leave the lips of mouths they shape their own intent
To the listener who could perceive them in a way not meant
And take to turn the words to spurn another to whose consent
Was never given on a matter rather was abruptly implied
Because the source from where it came was taken as a snide
Remark by others who'd rather judge than to open their mind
To allow the balances of to equal more than they divide
A whole in a pocket is easier mended than an empty life
For when we take our self's for granted we forget where we find
The all we need because we give to others who in time
Won't repay our respects the same as we bestowed to them
Why we waste our time to try to do what we want done
Is often more confusing later when we begin to learn
That living is like a day in spring when gardener's plant a seed
Water, nurture, keep from harm, the flower they hope to see
Not every person who affects us is gracious enough to provide
A level of acceptance that we need to be who we strive
To become another day where we wish to obtain
The vision of a life we sought carrying through with faith
In ourselves, in those around us, who taught us to believe
For a better day to arrive we must first learn to conceive
A clearer vision, a cleaner path, a determined destination
To plant, to water, to nurture, to keep our own determinations
About the way we want to live with those we love and trust
Investing in the ways of providing the basic needs as such
Someone to talk to, someone to love the way that our love loves
Instead of relying on cheap imitations to replace the reality of us
In gathered possessions cluttered in spaces which can't possibly understand
What it means to heal the fears and tears of a person who has spanned
Many emotions in various situations wondering searching to find
Some one to hold their soul close to theirs to nurture through out times
When life is belligerent, faith is waning, hope seems distantly vague
To see them through the moments of life that aren't society's front page
While days become a patterned theme emptied by others despair
The ones who gather to their worth as people learn to genuinely care
About those others in their lives as things as precious as gold
Because when life would rob them blind they had a hand to hold
That did not want not a thing more than to be the one who could
Take all the bad that life had slung on another to make it good
By listening, giving them time to heal, and gently loving the freedom
Acquired when one opened their life to invite a weary heart home
Into a place of ease and peace resting in comforts compassions
Safe from the harms of selfish alarms where they renew livings passion
Sharing alike from daylight to dark relying, believing in one another
The times that they want are celebrated together pleasing both they and others
Lives are like memories breathing growing waking being alive
Better to save than throw away forgetting the pleasures to find
