The garden of the mind
is the most fertile soil on earth
Always present for sowing thoughts
to seed a future world
In which to think and give ourselves
over to their wooing
To grow what we want to see
in our thinking's viewing
Tended daily by the owner
of handed down ideas
Ever growing bloom to bloom
as in our lives we live
Kept in time as weeds or seeds
to rid or plant again
Giving life inside our thoughts
the fauna that will rend
Petaled softness pollened from
moments kept from frost
Droughts, and pests, that would claim
our garden as a loss
So flowers, trees, grasses, fruits
that nourish mind and soul
Have the room to expand
the bouquets that we know
Give our lives a pleasant venture
to toil in day to day
Blooming paths to visit while
we are on our ways
To give to life a gift of goodness
planted, grown to be
A place of blooming values nurtured
more of hope to see

Not every writer writes for fame and fortune. As a matter of fact that class of people is a reserved group of people none of the rest of the world's simple word users will ever be able to liken ourselves to. Then again, that was never the idea when most people first began writing. It was something we were taught, something we learned, something we were instructed to use through out our lives to sort out ideas and follow a pattern of thinking that would lead us to communicating with our own thoughts in a healthier way.
